Pandava Bakhara
Pandava Bakhara is the name of the Hill that is situated in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, near Chandaka Forest. In order to reach this place you will have to go through the Village situated close to the Hill.It is said that these cave was build about 4000 years ago.
There is no such public transport facility available as of now, if you are planning to visit this place you will have to go by your own vehicle.
The name of of the place Pandava Bakhara means, the rooms of Pandavas. In local language Odiya Bakhara means room.
This place remained unexplored for a long time and then due to these bloggers this place got renowned and highlighted.
From the top of the Pandava Bakhara Hill you will easily make out the Mahanadi River which is flowing along side of this Hill and is just about 1km away from the Hill. You can plan your Picnic there as you will get a number of Picnic spots there beside the Mahanadi River and can come to Pandava Bakhara for trekking.
You will get package water bottle and wafers available in the small shops near the parking area. You will also get Dahi Bada stall there if you wish to have some snacks. Not much options are available however it is better that there is something available if incase someone is hungry or thirsty.
If you need more than this then you can either get all the stuffs before entering to the village for Pandava Bakhara or can wait till you get out of the Village. I would suggest to carry some food and water along with you for your own best.
