๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐, ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ต, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ โ A joint press briefing was convened today at the Nafra Circuit House, led by local leaders Shri Nichang Jangju (Panchayat Member, ZPM Nafra 01 Block) and Smti Rijanmo Khangriju ( Panchayat Member, ZPM 02- Sirilang Circle) alongside Gram Panchayat Members from Khazalang, Sirilang, and Nafra circles.
The briefing saw a strong turnout of support, attended by numerous Gram Panchayat Members representing the Nafra, Sirilang, and Khazalang circles, alongside key political party representatives.
The primary objective of the briefing was to issue a definitive and unified refutation against the recent corruption allegations leveled against the incumbent local MLA, Shri Dongru Siongju.
These accusations were made by the Bichom District Unit of the Arunachal RTI Activists Association during their media briefing on May 18.
A Record of Growth and Development
Addressing the media, the Panchayat and party leadership categorically dismissed the association's claims, labeling them as entirely "baseless, malicious, and devoid of any factual truth." Rather than allowing the allegations to overshadow the MLA's track record, the leaders took the opportunity to present a comprehensive, detailed overview of the major development schemes successfully executed under Siongjuโs tenure.
"MLA Dongru Siongju has consistently maintained the highest standards of transparency and integrity in public office," the leaders stated. "His administration has delivered exemplary, transformative infrastructure growth that has significantly benefited both this constituency and the state at large."
Call for Official Re-Verification
To restore public confidence and clear the MLA's name through official channels, the Panchayat leaders announced that they have formally petitioned the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bichom District. They have requested an immediate, independent re-verification process of the projects in question.
The leaders expressed absolute confidence that a thorough investigation will uncover the objective facts and completely expose the falsehood of the activists' claims.
Appeal to the Public
In closing, the party and community leaders issued a strong appeal to the general public, urging citizens not to be misled by what they termed "politically motivated and unsubstantiated propaganda.
They emphasized that these reckless allegations are deliberately timed and orchestrated to derail ongoing and future major developmental projects, which are vital to the socio-economic progress of the region.
