India’s first "Red Road" is officially here! 🐅🛣️ A groundbreaking 2-km stretch of NH-45 has been transformed with a 5 mm thick, raised red thermoplastic surface. Passing directly through Madhya Pradesh's sensitive Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve, this innovative "table-top" marking creates gentle tire vibrations to naturally prompt drivers to slow down—eliminating the need for harsh, sudden speed breakers. Paired with extensive animal underpasses and safety fencing, the bright red zone visually alerts motorists entering a crucial wildlife corridor. This project serves as a brilliant blueprint for blending infrastructure development with wildlife conservation.
