Project Coordinator : Role Overview
Loyola Extension Services (LES), the community outreach wing of the prestigious Loyola College of Social Sciences, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to lead a crucial 3-year project on Constitutional Values and Social Change, funded by the Azim Premji Foundation. This is a demanding, field-intensive role requiring a commitment to constitutional values, skills in community mobilisation and documentation, conducting training programmes, monitoring and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
The Coordinator will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the project across its three-year cycle, including:
• Field Leadership: Conduct extensive fieldwork and provide on-ground operational support to ensure project objectives are met at the community level.
• Team Management: Work closely with and mentor a team of 20 Fellows working in the field, over a period of three years, ensuring strong collaboration and high quality of work.
• Training & Outreach: Design, organize, and facilitate effective training programs for community members on constitutional values and processes of social change.
• Administration & Finance: Coordinate all administrative and financial aspects of the project, including reporting, budgeting, and ensuring strict compliance with the guidelines of the institution.
✅ Essential Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Post-graduate degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Law, or Social Work.
• Experience: A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in running and managing development or research projects.
• Skills: Proven ability to manage budgets, coordinate large field teams, and deliver effective community training.
• Commitment: Must be willing to undertake extensive field travel and commit to a demanding, results-oriented work schedule.
