For years, JKAS aspirants across Jammu & Kashmir have been raising a genuine and justified demand — relaxation in the upper age limit for JKPSC examinations.

Why is this demand genuine?

📌 J&K aspirants lost precious years due to the abrogation of Article 370, prolonged internet shutdowns, and repeated lockdowns that disrupted preparation cycles.

📌 The COVID-19 pandemic further delayed exam cycles, coaching access, and opportunities — a setback shared by aspirants nationwide, but felt more acutely here due to added regional disruptions.

📌 Many other states and UPSC itself have granted age/attempt relaxations in special circumstances — J&K aspirants are simply asking for parity, not favoritism.

📌 Delayed notifications, irregular exam calendars, and administrative bottlenecks in JKPSC have cost aspirants years that should rightfully count in their favor.

This is not about seeking shortcuts — it's about restoring a fair and equal platform for those who have already sacrificed so much for their dream of public service.

The administration must recognize this demand not as a plea, but as a matter of justice and equity.
