South Africa: 3 Workers Missing Following Building and Gold Mine Collapse

The company, Vantage Goldfields, said the workers who are missing were all working in the office above ground. Dozens of miners were rescued from below ground and no casualties have been reported.

Conspiracy Theorists Say Ancient Statue Proves Time-Travel: Time-travel social media outlets are having a field-day over an ancient Greek statue from 100 BC currently on display at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Malibu which appears to depict a young girl holding up what conspiracy theorists are convinced is a laptop - complete with USB ports.

I’m not so sure, its all Greek to me. Hell, for all I know, this could be a sculpture depicting the first pizza home delivery. Meanwhile, technology experts say if this is a laptop, its obviously a PC, because its way too thick too be a Mac. The device appears to be running Windows-100BC and sadly, they’ve been waiting all this time for Windows to finally boot up.

Paranormal investigators argue its clearly a computer of some kind, the proof being that the adult is obviously asking the child to explain how to her to use it. The woman seems to be telling the child “now come help mommy, my screen’s frozen.”

You wanna talk “hard drives” - why this damn thing's made out of stone! And good luck trying to find an outlet once the batteries wear down. That said, one thing’s for sure, you can bet their WiFi signal is a hell of a lot better than what I’m getting here at Starbucks this evening.

Three people were killed and more than 150 injured after a 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck southern Taiwan early Saturday morning, toppling buildings, knocking out power and plunging thousands into darkness.

The victims include a 10-day-old baby and 40-year-old man, who were pulled from the 17-story Wei Guan Golden Dragon apartment building, the Associated Press reported. More than 200 people were rescued from the rubble of two collapsed high rises, and 154 hospitalized.

In live broadcasts on local TV, rescuers could be seen shining spotlights into the windows of one of the collapsed buildings in the city of Tainan, and scaling the highest floors of another. One person was seen scrambling out of the wreckage as a firefighter looked on.

The producer and singer, who won seven Grammys and helped usher in a new era of black popular music, died after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's, according to The Associated Press.

The dreaded cracked iPhone screen may soon become a thing of the past. Starting this week, customers will be able to trade in iPhones with damaged screens, cameras and buttons for credit toward newer models at Apple Retail stores. The trade-in value will vary depending on the iPhone's model and storage space, with store credit reported to be $50 for the 5s, $200 for the 6, and $250 for the 6 plus model.

Even under this new policy, older iPhones can only be traded in if damaged "within reason," 9to5 reported, which presumably means the phone must be at least be functional and not, say, waterlogged or smashed to pieces.
