The Chandigarh Administration is lacking in its approach to tackle the issues of global Pandemic Covid-19. Number of cases have already crossed 300, the number which is too high for a city with population of merely 10 lakh. The hotzone we all know Bapu Dham is residence to 60 thousand people. The administration has officially allowed businesses to run across Chandigarh as per guidelines of MHA, however, MHA has nowhere recognized BEGGING as an official business.
The beggars who are mostly homeless or the ones who have homes hails from places like Bapu Dham, Jagatpura, Daria which are already under red alert. Administration has failed to answer the questions of public regarding banning/allowing begging on streets. So is this officially recognized by Chandigarh administration or have they blindsided themselves on this issue amid corona pandemic is still a Big question.
No updates from the administration are available so far, nor is there any mention on this issue in their twitter posts. We can all now just pray for our safety, as it can be rightly assumed that Administration is not 100% concerned for the masses.

Parents across the Chandigarh protested against Fee Hike by Tri-City Schools amid corona pandemic.
