Ferragni, an ex-law student from a small town near Milan, started The blog in 2009, documenting her camera-ready personal style, full of prints, blowdried hair and kooky cross-eyed faces. Seven years later, she has 7.3 million followers on Instagram, 1.2m likes on Facebook and more than 14m page views per month on her website.

Ferragni has been on the Forbes 30 under 30 list twice, the subject of a Harvard Business School study and on 55 magazine covers

Is One Of The Highest Paid

Forbes released its list of highest-paid female T.V actors in the world last year, and our very own Priyanka Chopra was eighth on the list. Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, who is from Colombia, topped the list (raking in around 43 million dollars), Indian-American Mindy Kaling came in third and Kerry Washington took the sixth place. This means that there was a 50:50 divide between women of colour and white women in the top eight positions. While that was great news for PC, who is somewhat a newbie in the international T.V biz, it is also a huge deal for Indian women, especially when you see that two out of the top 10 have roots in the subcontinent.
