On a straight road in dry conditions, crossing a white line upright and smoothly is generally fine. But avoid braking hard, accelerating aggressively, or cornering while your tyres are on the painted line, especially in rain.

This is something women deal with way too often.

The unnecessary honking.

The staring.

The following.

The sudden need to race.

The dangerous overtaking.

The constant feeling that someone is trying to intimidate you just because you're a woman on a bike.

We've become so used to these things that we casually call them "normal."

But they're not.

Just because something happens every day doesn't mean it's normal.

 I handled my situation and I kept riding.

But I shouldn't have to deal with this in the first place.

And to every girl who rides and has experienced something similar—

I see you. I hear you. And no, you're not overreacting.

These situations may be common.

But they are NOT normal !!!!
