ChorauT तीन सदी पहले मकवानपुर रियासत के हिस्सा रहे चोरौत भारत-नेपाल सीमा से लगा हुआ एक भारतीय गांव है. Choaraut animal mela is very much famous in this area.

The choraut village is connected with national highway from delhi.this village is near of nepal border, and janakpur road is crossing from this village to janakpur dham.That is the
ancient capital of king shirdhawaj janak.known as janakpur dham.this capital city is an ancient capital of Mithila.it is mentioned in THE RAMAYANA also.and in many religious books . Choraut is northern part of CHORAUT

Block, and it is only village where we can find CA,SP,DIG,DOCTORS,ENGINEER and many more school teachers,

History:

Choraut is one of the oldest village in Sitamarhi.Choraut sthan temple is one of the big temple in this area. two river Rato and Yamuni flows in the west part of Choraut. every year big flood come due to this river. Big part of land in this area is belongs to Late Shri Lakhan Narayan. They are very famous Landlord of choraut. Festival:

Durga puja, Diwali,Chhat puja and indra puja & Gau pooja are main festival of choraut village.Every year people celebrates these festival with joy and happiness.All villagers Hindu,Muslim all participate in these festival.it shows real picture of india.Our village is an ideal village in sitamrhi district.jai choraut,jai bihar

in middile of choaraut "Laksmi Narayan Mandir" & Choraut uttar has very old maharani sthan,Bramha sthan,Durga mandir.in durga mandir every year durga puja is celebrated. lakhs of people visited this puja every year.
