Paralocks, also known as Jerry Van Den Heever from South Africa, began his psytrance journey in 2007.
After experiencing the Cape Town outdoor party scene over the summer of 2006, his desire to better understand and comprehend these frequencies prompted him to start creating his music. Thus, the project Paralocks (Locked with the parallel dimension) was born.
The initial influences of the project were those of the 'darker' artists performing in the Cape Town scene at the time. After experiencing the Noizy Radicals event in 2008, Jerry's music shifted in a new direction, focusing on higher speeds than the usual SA speed limit (148 bpm), with high-tech glitches incorporated into large, dynamic soundscapes.
