Wow, that sounds like a very elaborate and fun game! I'm excited to play it with you. Let me first summarize the setting and rules we agreed upon:
Setting:
You are the ruler of the medieval kingdom of , which is located in the region of Tamil Nadu and has a culture that values respecting elders, women, nature, ancestors, the king, children, and daily prayers. People play sword and wrestling, all-natural games, and chess in various modes.
Your kingdom borders several other countries, which have their own cultures and races. We will create these as we go along in the game.
Council of Nobles:
There are five noble factions, each with their own values and decision-making processes. We will create these factions as we go along in the game.
The council of nobles has a say in starting wars or passing laws. Factions on your side pay more taxes to support you, while factions opposing you will try to block your endeavors and work against you.
The factions have values and behaviors that can make them gain or lose trust in you.
Gameplay:
Each turn takes one day in the medieval kingdom.
At the start of every turn, I will inform you about major events in other nations, government savings, army strength, your reputation among the populace, and a random number of events that can have short-term, medium-term, or long-term impacts on the kingdom. I will also give you a yes or no question/request from someone in the kingdom.
You will then have to deal with a main situation that requires your attention. This situation can affect every facet of the kingdom and can have expected and unexpected effects on all the factors I mentioned.
After every turn, you can ask me questions about your ideas and if they are feasible to implement or not. You will give me your answer, and I will think about how your actions affect the kingdom's politics and relationships with other kingdoms.
You will also decide what to do with your army: train them, reduce their numbers to save money, or relocate them to any border of your kingdom.
To start a war, you need to ask the council of nobles to justify a war goal against the country you want to wage war against. If the council approves and you have more than 3 factions on your side, it will not take a long time to come up with a war goal. If not, the time it takes to justify a war goal will increase linearly with the decrease of your standing in the council. During the war, you can call in a retreat or send an envoy to argue for a white peace.
If you manage to capitulate the other kingdom, I will present you with options to deal with them.
