GREEN FUNGUS: A 34-year-old COVID-19 survivor was diagnosed with green fungus infection in Madhya Pradesh's Indore and shifted to Mumbai by air ambulance for treatment, a senior doctor said on Tuesday.
The Patient underwent a test on suspicion that he had contracted the dreaded black fungus infection (mucormycosis).
But he was instead found to have green fungus (Aspergillosis) infection in his sinuses, lungs and blood.
Since this is probably the first case of 'green fungus,' doctors are conducting deep research to see if more recovered COVID-19 patients have also contracted the rare fungal disease. 
Also goes by the scientific name, Aspergillosis, green fungus symptoms include nose-bleeds and high fever which was found in the 34-year-old patient after he recovered from COVID-19.

Portugal will begin the defence of their crown on Tuesday when they take on Hungary at the Puskas Arena in a UEFA Euro 2020 Group F clash.
Hungary had the worst luck of any team in this tournament, because they got drawn into the group of death with Portugal, Germany and France.
In 13 head-to-head encounters between the two sides, Portugal hold the clear advantage. They have won nine games and drawn four.
The first blockbuster game of the UEFA Euro 2020 will come our way this Tuesday as France lock horns with Germany at the Allianz Arena in a Group-F clash.
This will be the sixth meeting between France and Germany at a major tournament, but their first in the group stages. So far, their head-to-head record is perfectly balanced with two wins each and a draw.
France are unbeaten in their past five games against Germany on German soil (W3 D2). Their only previous meeting in Munich ended goalless (Allianz Arena, September 2018).

The Tamil Nadu government on Friday has extended the ongoing COVID-induced lockdown till June 21 with more relaxation. The current lockdown comes to an end on June 14.
The government-run Tasmac shops are allowed to operate between 10 am to 5pm in 27 districts of the state.
In 27 districts, including Chennai, salons, beauty parlours and spas can function from 5:00 pm without air conditioners and only 50% of customers are allowed from June 14.
Government parks are allowed to be open from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Taxis, auto-rickshaws allowed to operate.
Private housekeeping services will be allowed with an e-pass, while electricians, plumbers, carpenters, motor technicians and other self-employed persons will be allowed to function between 9 am and 5 pmwith e-pass at their customers' homes buy they cannot open their shops.
Shops selling and repairing spectacles, as well as cycle and two-wheeler mechanic shops, can function between 9 am and 2 pm, and pottery and handicraft makers can function between 6 am. and 5 pm.
IT offices can function only with 10 persons or 20 per cent staff strength whichever is lower, and housing finance, and non-banking finance companies can function with 33 percent staff strength.

The UEFA Euro 2020, postponed from last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, kicks off on Friday, with Turkey taking on Italy in Rome.
The tournament kicks off on Friday, June 11. The knockout phase starts on June 26 with the final taking place on July 11 at London’s Wembley Stadium
A total of 24 teams divided into six groups will be taking part in the tournament, which comprises 51 matches..
Group A: Turkey, Italy, Wales, Switzerland
Group B: Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Russia
Group C: Netherlands, Ukraine, Austria, North Macedonia

The Board of Control for Cricket in (BCCI) has zeroed in on the date for the resumption of the IPL 2021 which will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The first game on resumption will be played on September 19 while the final will be hosted on October 15 — the day India will be celebrating Dussehra this year.
The IPL 2021 was suspended indefinitely with immediate effect on May 4 due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
