Spider-Man No Way Home box office collection Day 3: On its third day, the Tom Holland-starrer grossed Rs 26.10 crore, taking the total collection to Rs 79.14 crore.
The latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: No Way Home, has given a new lease of life to theatres. On its third day, the Tom Holland-starrer grossed Rs 26.10 crore, taking the total nett  collection is Rs 79.14 crore while gross box office was Rs 100.84 cr.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the film’s figures. He wrote, “ is UNSHAKABLE and UNBEATABLE on Day 3… Fetches ₹ 26 cr+ on *non-festival Saturday* in pandemic era is FireFireFire… Expect another big day today [Sun]… Thu 32.67 cr, Fri 20.37 cr, Sat 26.10 cr. Total: ₹ 79.14 cr Nett BOC… Gross BOC: ₹ 100.84 cr. biz.”

The 5,151.60 hectares of land in Vanur and Marakkanam taluks will be the 16th bird sanctuary in Tamil Nadu.
The Kazhuveli wetland located near Villupuram in Tamil Nadu has been declared a bird sanctuary by the Environment, Climate Change and Forest Department, and will henceforth be called the ‘Kazhuveli Birds Sanctuary’.
The 5,151.60 hectares of land in Vanur and Marakkanam taluks will be the 16th bird sanctuary in Tamil Nadu.
According to a notification issued by the government, the proposal by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief Wild Life Warden Shekar Kumar Niraj was accepted by Environment and Forest Secretary Surpiya Sahu.
“In exercise of the powers conferred in the subsection (1) of the section 18 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares his intention to constitute the said area as Kazhuveli Wetlands Birds Sanctuary,” the notification read.“In exercise of the powers conferred in the subsection (1) of the section 18 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares his intention to constitute the said area as Kazhuveli Wetlands Birds Sanctuary,” the notification read.
In the order, it was noted that the area of Kazhuveli brackish water lake wetlands in eight villages in Markkanam Taluk, including Nadukuppam, Seyyankuppam, Chettikuppam, Anumandai, Urani, Keelputhupattu, Konnimedu and Thirukannur, and five villages in Vanur Taluk, including Kilapakkam, Devanandal, Karattai, Kozhuvari and Kazhuperumbakkam in Villupuram district, is of adequate ecological, faunal, floral and geomorphological significance for the purpose of protecting, propagating and developing wildlife and its environment.
The sanctuary lies adjacent to the Bay of Bengal along the east coast.

India’s union cabinet passed a proposal to raise the legal age of marriage for women from 18 to 21 years, the same as men.

According to reports on Thursday, the government will introduce an amendment to the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, which will also amend the Special Marriage Act and personal laws including the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had in his August 2020 Independence Day speech said the government was concerned about “the health of daughters and sisters” and it was necessary that they married at the right age.

Pushpa The Rise box office day 3: Allu Arjun-starrer's worldwide gross stands at an impressive Rs 173 crore worldwide after the first weekend.
Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun’s latest film Pushpa: The Rise could be termed as the first pan-Indian hit film of 2021. The film not just is drawing huge crowds in the Telugu states but is also setting the cash registers ringing across the country. As per the film’s makers, Pushpa box office collection after the first weekend stands at Rs 173 crore gross worldwide.
“Pushpa Raj bringing a new lease of life to the theaters 🤘 His rage at the Box Office continues 🔥🔥 MASSive 173 CR 3 days Gross Worldwide for 🔥🔥,” the official handle tweeted.
The response that the Hindi version of the film is receiving in the northern pockets has surprised many. Pushpa seems to be gaining traction at the box office by the day despite the film receiving mixed reviews from critics.

Some people just love spamming. Unbelievable as it may seem, a spammer in India made 27,000 spam calls every hour, every day, adding up to a massive 202 million spam calls in 2021.

“Makes you wonder how the telecom operators even allow this kind of call volume,” said a release by Truecaller, the leading global platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communication.

The company actively maintains a list of top spammers in each region to automatically block them, “but this one spammer is so far ahead of the rest that they will find it very hard to catch up,” it added.

According to the company’s 2021 Global spam and scam report, India’s ranking shot up to the fourth spot in terms of spam calls, up from ninth in 2020. This was mainly because of a significant increase in sales and telemarketing calls.

North Korea has banned its citizens from laughing, shopping and drinking for 11 days to mark former leader Kim Jong Il's 10th death anniversary.

While the country observes the mourning period, government authorities have instructed the public not to show any signs of happiness.

Citizens are also not allowed to partake in any leisure activities or shop for groceries on December 17 (today), the date of Kim Jong Il's death.

Any violation of the ban will result in serious consequences, according to a North Korean who spoke to Radio Free Asia from the north-eastern border city of Sinuiji.

In the past, those who flouted rules were considered to be "ideological criminals" and "were taken away and never seen again," the source said.
