NEXT LOW PRESSURE FORMED IN BAY OF BENGAL
The next low pressure currently known as Invest 91 has formed in Bay of Bengal.

MOVEMENT
The system is expected to move in west - north west direction and cross between Nagapattinam and Chennai close to Chennai going by the current forecast(please see the attached images for more details).

RAINS
As the system moves closer to the TN coast, Light rains are expected on Tuesday.
Heavy rains are expected on Wed and Thursday especially in north TN as the system will come close to the coast. Please see the images for the day wise forecast rain in different locations.

LAKE STATUS
More than rain we need to keep an eye on the Chennai lake's inflow / outflow especially Chembarambakkam as this is already full. Heavy rains + water release can usually lead to flooding situation in Chennai. Hopefully the officials release water early and keep buffer for the inflow next week to come from the rains.
