Isn’t it funny how people call your angry side your “true colors”? You can be there for someone for years. Support them through everything. Show up when no one else does. But the second you get mad, suddenly that’s the “real” you. Everything good you did gets erased by one bad moment. They forget all the times you helped. All the patience you showed. All the love you gave.
But they remember exactly how you acted when you finally hit your limit. It’s like they were waiting for you to mess up. Waiting for proof that you’re not as good as you seemed. And when you finally break, they say “I knew it. This is who you really are.” Your true self is who you are consistently, not who you become in your worst moments. People remember anger more than kindness that’s just how it works. But don’t let that stop you from being kind.
