Celebrating our Great King Raja Raja Cholan on his 1040th Sadhaya Vizha.
Sadhaya Vizha is a festival celebrated annually in the Tamil month of Aippasi (mid-October to mid-November) to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Great Chola King Raja Raja Cholan I. The main celebration takes place at the Brihadeeswarar Temple (Tanjore Big Temple) in Thanjavur and includes adorning the king's statue with silk robes, performing sacred rituals, and organizing cultural programs. The festival also aims to educate the public about his reign and contributions to the Chola dynasty.
