Did you know that some of our neighbors in Chennai are over 290 years old? 🌳✨
We walk past them every day at the Marundeeshwarar Temple, the Guindy AC Tech campus, and the Roja Muthiah Library in Taramani, but these "Living Legends" have seen our city transform from a forest to a metro.
A new report just identified 57 Heritage Trees across Chennai—from the massive Baobab on Greenways Road to the 12-story tall Arjuna tree at the MLA Hostel. These aren’t just trees; they are our history, mentioned in Sangam literature and standing tall through centuries.
Next time you’re in Adyar or Karpagam Gardens, stop and look up. You might be standing next to a 200-year-old giant! 🏛️🍃
Which of these heritage spots is your favorite? Tell us in the comments! 👇
