தமிழக அரசியல் வரலாற்றை அதிலும் திராவிட இயக்கங்களை மையமாகக் கொண்டு ஆவணப்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பது சுப்புவின் முயற்சி.
இதில் 1917 முதல் 1944 வரையிலான காலகட்டம் ‘திராவிட மாயை- ஒரு பார்வை- முதல் பகுதி’ என்று முதலில் இணையத்திலும் (தமிழ் ஹிந்து) பிறகு புத்தகமாகவும் வெளிவந்தது.
அடுத்த பகுதி துக்ளக் வார இதழில் தொடராக 103 வாரங்கள் வெளிவந்து வாசகர்களின் ஆதரவைப் பெற்றது. இது ‘திராவிட மாயை- ஒரு பார்வை- இரண்டாம் பகுதி’ என்ற பெயரில் புத்தகமாக வந்தது. இது குறிப்பிடும் காலகட்டம் 1944 முதல் 1967 வரை.
‘திராவிட மாயை - ஒரு பார்வை- மூன்றாம் பகுதி’ 1967 முதல் 1981 வரை உள்ள காலகட்டத்தைக் குறிப்பிடும் பகுதியாகும். இந்தக் காலம் எம்.ஜி.ஆருடைய காலம், அவருடைய ஆளுமை முழுமையாக வெளிப்பட்ட காலம்.
