With just 15 minutes on the clock and light shifting by the minute, we were tasked with capturing a portrait of the global CEO of Nissan alongside three national CEOs — outdoors, with automobiles in frame, at their Chennai test track.
Thanks to clear planning and a sharp, responsive team, we completed the shoot in just 7 minutes with precision and clarity.
This challenging shoot turned out to be a truly rewarding one.
What made it even more special was the amount of thought and preparation that went in behind the scenes. While the actual shoot lasted only 7 minutes, we spent over five hours aligning the lighting and angles, after planning every detail in advance — from selecting the exact locations on the testing track to carefully designing a lighting setup that would hold up against the unpredictability of the sunset.
Since it was an outdoor shoot, there were no do-overs. Add to that the challenge of working around senior leadership’s extremely tight schedule, and the margin for error was almost nonexistent.
But this is exactly where teamwork shines. The way our crew adapted on the spot, responded to the shifting light, and handled every moving part with calm focus made the entire experience feel seamless.
Projects like this are a reminder that what looks effortless in a frame is often the result of hours of groundwork, trust, and solid collaboration.
