Motorindia

Motorindia Motorindia is India's leading B2B automotive monthly in India, being published since 1956. With a fo Then nobody in the country than the late M. R.

MOTORINDIA, completed 64 years in August 2020 and entered 65th year, is reckoned as an unmatched leader in commercial vehicle industry. When the monthly magazine was launched in 1956, the Indian automotive industry, with just two local manufacturers was just in its nascent stage. Rajagopalan, its founder editor, had the courage and determination to bring out perhaps the first automotive journal in

the country. Having been associated for long with Indian media houses in the 1950's, Rajagopalan, the visionary leader had the rich journalistic background to handle it independently. Of course, he relied on the timely moral support extended by industry leaders from TVS, Amalgamations and similar other groups, as well as by political luminaries of the day like Rajaji, Kamaraj and R. Venkataraman to start the venture. Though self-supported in the beginning, the journal grew with widening readership due mainly to its unbiased reporting. With the real motto of serving the Indian automotive sector, MOTORINDIA has spread its wings not only by expanding the circulation of its English version but also started its Hindi (मोटरइंडिया) edition in 1999. Even today the Hindi edition of the journal is second to none and is the one and only national language publication to be brought out successfuly month after month that too from a non-Hindi speaking State. Among the various factors driving the popularity of the magazine is its providing latest news and features related to the automotive sector. With the IT revolution sweeping the country, MOTORINDIA took the lead in bringing out its e-version as well as newsletter which has become an important source of information for the entire vehicle enthusiasts. This publication, since 1956, thus became a buyer's guide for all those associated with the automotive industry directly or indirectly. We strongly feel that the credit for the magazines's success goes to its esteemed readers and well-wishers. Natarajan
