While Chennai (fondly and adamantly Madras to us) has always had a rich artistic and cultural background with ardent enthusiasts catching pretty much every show put out there, more chennai venues are opening up their stages to the ridiculously talented folks coming out of the woodwork. The Madras Stage aims to be a catalyst, connecting talented musicians from across the country with new audiences

within Chennai, while also creating opportunities for the working musician at home and away. We ideate special events with artists who's gifts we truly believe in, connect talent,and work at creating new and interesting opportunities for the artists in and around the city , while also aiming at sharing Chennai's potential with the rest of the country. Any form of art, talent and expression is welcome on The Madras Stage! Music, Theatre, Poetry, Dance, Slam, Jam, and even some Culinary Wizardry or Couture Geniuses. Reach out to us with ideas, let us know you exist so we can keep you in mind when interesting opportunities come our way. It's been a while since I've moved continents and I finally feel brave enough to put out some of the music I've been working on since I got to Calarts. A year in and this experience has taught me more about my voice than I ever hoped. I'm still a far cry from being comfortable and vulnerable on stage and performance anxiety is a very real ordeal but one must start somewhere. As always the people I play with are so much more than musicians, they are my spine and a primary part of my creative process. Thank you , , and we will continue to find each other no matter where in the world we happen to be to come together and make music. Looking forward to sharing more music with you soon! .

The Madras Stage presented A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac at Russian Cultural Centre last night and it was such a fun night!

The Bandstand Featured Kavita Thomas - The Music, Shilvi Sharon Conrad Simmons Vikram Vivekanand Gerard Joseph Neil Smith Vinay Ramakrishnan Anish Joseph Chacko and the lovely soundmaster Nithin D'mello handling the board!

We owe special thanks to DrRajan Muthukrishnan and the RCC for the space and all the lovely people who helped us put this all together like Ashwin Mohan with the poster design, for hosting us on their site, our lovely volunteers Chelsea Cris Crocker and Roshni Raghavan who handled the gate for us so kindly, and the reason for these wonderful pictures Siddharth Shelton!

"Big Love" to Neil Smith and Vinay Ramakrishnan for not only working their butts off on the music but also helping with getting all these folks and promos together! We couldn't have done any of this without y'all! Thank you so much!
