ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕಿನ ಕಳಸಾಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಊರಿನ ಹೆಸರೇ ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ ಕಳಸಾಪುರದ ಹುಡುಗರು ಎಂಬ ಚಿತ್ರ ಹಲವು ದಶಕಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಈ ಊರಿನ ಹುಡುಗರ ಒಗ್ಗಟು ಏನೇ ಬಂದರು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವ ಹುಮ್ಮಸ್ಸು, ಹಿಡಿದ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸುವ ಛಲ, ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬರಾಗುತ್ತ ಅಂಜದೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಹುಡುಗರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಯೇ ಮತಿಘಟ್ಟದ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳು ಬರೆದಿದ್ದ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಕಳಸಾಪುರದ ಹುಡುಗರು ಚಿತ್ರವಾಗಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಒಂದೆಡೆಯಾದರೆ.
ಶ್ರವಣ ಮಾಸದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರವೂ ಬಹಳ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಅದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರದೊಂದು ಆಚರಿಸುವ ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಹಬ್ಬ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಡಗರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಸಂಜೆ ಗೋಧೂಳಿ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿ ರಾತ್ರಿ 9 ರ ಒಳಗೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಮುಗಿಯ ಬೇಕು ಅಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಮನೆಯ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು 5 ಬಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೈವೇದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷ 2 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ನೆಡೆಯುವ ಹಬ್ಬದ ನಂತರದ ದಿನ ಅಂದರೆ ಭಾನುವಾರ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ದೇವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಇಡುವ ಮುನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಸೆರಗನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋದವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಮೌದ್ಗಲ್ಯಸ ಗೋತ್ರದ 40 ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಹಗೆಯೇ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವಿಷಯ ಎಂದರೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ ವರಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲಿ
