The divine Jagannath Rath Yatra 2025 has officially begun! A sea of millions gathers in Odisha’s holy city of Puri as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Maa Subhadra embark on their sacred 3-km journey to the Gundicha Temple on majestic chariots — Nandighosh, Taladhwaja, and Darpadalan. Known as Shree Gundicha Yatra, this annual celebration of faith, unity, and tradition draws devotees from across the globe. To ensure a safe and smooth yatra, a five-tier security setup has been deployed, including 200 platoons of police, BSF, and CRPF units. The spiritual fervour is unmatched as chants of “Jai Jagannath” echo across the city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ahmedabad earlier today and visited the site of the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crash that killed 241 people a day earlier, one of the worst air disasters in recent times.

The Prime Minister arrived at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport and drove straight to the crash site in the Meghaninagar area, officials said. He was accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
