Streaming giant Netflix has ramped up its dream to make it big in Cloud gaming, as the company hunts for professionals to take on Cloud gaming services like Sony PlayStation Now, Google Stadia, Apple Arcade and Amazon Luna.
According to Protocol, the streaming service is looking for a security product manager with experience handling "cloud gaming challenges", a rendering engineer who can support Netflix's "cloud gaming service", and other related positions.

Netflix recently launched mobile games like "Into the Breach" and "Before Your Eyes", among others. However, less than 1 per cent of its subscribers are playing its mobile games. Netflix plans to launch at least 50 gaming titles by the end of the year.

App analytics company Apptopia estimated an average of 1.7 million people are engaging with the games daily, which is less than 1 per cent of Netflix's over 221 million subscribers.

Netflix's "Stranger Things"-themed games in particular have done well.
While its mobile games are not very popular, a cloud gaming service may get more eyeballs, especially from young gamers.

"Cloud gaming makes a lot of sense for Netflix. Not only would it allow the company to bring its games to the TV screen without having to rely on game consoles alone, the cloud is also an environment Netflix is very familiar with," the report mentioned.

The platform is accelerating its push into video games. Since last November, the company has been rolling out the games to keep users engaged between show releases.

The games are accessible only to subscribers but have to be downloaded as separate apps.

Netflix has named Epic Games and TikTok among its biggest rivals.

Vijay, on Monday, said that personally he has faced quite a lot of struggles in life and has had obstacles in his career earlier, and has overcome them to reach the position he is at right now. He also said that he is sure people will like him and his upcoming film 'Liger' because they have made the film with a lot of love and hard work.
"I don't know much, and talking about my own experience, and my thoughts...I believe that life has taught me to be a fighter. When I was younger I had to fight for respect and money...later I had to fight for my place in the industry and even to get work. Every film was like a tough fight for me," said Vijay.

Gautam Buddha Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) [India], : The Uttar Pradesh police busted a bar operating out of a mall in Greater Noida for allegedly serving ho**ah to customers without permission, officials said adding that 25 people were apprehended in this connection.

"We have busted an illegal ho**ah bar here at Lucifer restaurant and bar. Here liquor was served without legal permission. We have recovered beer bottles and half-filled liquor bottles. Over 15 ho**ahs and pipes have been also seized from the property. We have apprehended 25 persons," said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Greater Noida, Abhishek Verma.
Police personnel carried out raids and searches throughout Uttar Pradesh and registered over 700 cases across 18 districts. Various narcotics were seized during the searches, police said.
"Yesterday, UP Police searched 342 ho**ah bars and other places in 18 districts and 4 commissionerates. 702 cases were registered and 785 accused were arrested. The value of the seized items is more than Rs 5.98 crores," said Additional Director General of Police. ADG (L&O) Prashant Kumar.
Further Investigations are underway.

As mentioned in the wedding card, the groom Ezhilarasan is a pharmacist from Tiruvannamalai district and the bride Vasanthakumari is a nurse from Genji in Villupuram district.

The strange looking wedding card, includes date, address, DJ party, reception details and everything related to the wedding.

The wedding card mentions ‘special days’ on September 5 in a red box. The names of the groom’s and bride’s parents have also been highlighted in a rather different manner. The words ‘Manufactured by’ has been written besides the parents name.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will on Monday visit flash flood and landslide hit areas in Mandi district, officials said.

Twenty-two people, including eight members of a family, were killed and twelve others injured in 36 incidents of landslides and flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday.

The chief minister's home district Mandi is the worst hit where 13 people have died and five persons are feared dead as they went missing.

At least one person has been injured in flash floods and landslides in Mandi.
According to officials, the chief minister is scheduled to reach Mandi at around 8.15 am in a helicopter from Shimla. Thakur will specially visit Kashan village in Gohar development block where Khem Singh and seven other members of his family were buried alive under the debris of their house after a landslide occurred on August 20. As per his schedule, he will reach Kashan village by road from Mandi helipad at around 9 am and take stock of the situation till 12.15 pm. Subsequently, he will fly back to reach Shimla at around 1.10 pm.

In Mandi itself, six members of a family went missing after a flash flood in Baghi nullah on the Mandi-Katola-Prashar road on Saturday. While the body of a girl was recovered some distance away from her house, five other members of her family are feared dead as they were washed away after flash floods.

Several families left their homes located between Baghi and Old Katola areas after a cloud burst and took shelter at safer places in Mandi district on Saturday. Besides, several roads, power transformers, and water supply pipes have also been damaged in the flash floods.

Even before the controversy over the boycott call for 'Laal Singh Chaddha' and 'Raksha Bandhan' -- both of which release on Thursday -- could die down, another film is now in the eye of the storm.

The filmmakers of 'Masoom Sawaal' have been booked by the Uttar Pradesh Police, following a complaint that a poster of the movie hurts the religious sentiments by showing a Lord Krishna picture on a sanitary pad.

A senior police official said on Thursday that the FIR has been registered against director Santosh Upadhyay, his company and the entire team of the Hindi film on the complaint of Hindu Rashtra Navnirman Sena President Amit Rathore.

The FIR has been registered under Indian Penal Code section 295 (injuring or defiling places of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class).

The movie aims to create awareness about menstruation.

The complainant has alleged that the film producer has used a picture of Lord Krishna on sanitary pads on a poster.

This has hurt the religious sentiments of the followers of 'Sanatana Dharma' and can flare up communal riots in Uttar Pradesh and across the country, he has alleged.

Action would be initiated against anybody who tries to disturb peace, the circle officer said. "Law and order would be maintained at all costs."

Hours after the SSLV-D1 was launched with two satellites at about 9.18 a.m., the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said satellites are unusable as they were put into a different orbit than the intended one.
The maiden mission of India's brand new rocket about Rs 56 crore Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) on Sunday morning ended in a failure.
The launch failure of a small rocket powered by solid fuel puts the focus on the safety of India's human space mission that will be carried out by Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-Mk III (GSLV-Mk III) with the tricky cryogenic engine stage.

Flipkart has now started selling scooters too via its platform, which is pretty huge and something that you might not have expected. Bounce has launched its latest Infinity E1 electric scooter and interested buyers can order via Flipkart. The scooter is listed on the e-commerce website with a starting price of Rs 70,499.

There is also a flat Rs 5,000 discount on prepaid transactions, which basically means customers will be able to buy the scooter at an effective price of Rs 65,499. Flipkart’s listing says that users will be required to pay an additional amount to the dealer and for the charger as well.

There are basically insurance, registration, and handling charges, so you will have to spend an additional Rs 7,601 as well as Rs 9,999 for the charger. So, the total cost will be Rs 83,099 if you avail of the prepaid transaction offer. If you choose to go without an offer, then the amount will be Rs 5,000 higher. The company is also giving a warranty of 3 years for the scooter.

Flipkart currently doesn’t have a wide range of portfolios in terms of scooters, and it is only showing results of Bounce Infinity scooters. But, you never know, we could see more options from other companies in the near future.

Sergei Novikov, an Israeli citizen of Russian descent, and his Ukrainian girlfriend Elona Bramoka who have been dating for quite a long time, tied the knot in the mountains of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday.

Pandit Sandeep Sharma of Khanyara’s Divya ashram told the Times of India, “Sergei and Elona are staying at Dharamkot near Dharamshala for the past one year with a family, which made all the arrangements for their wedding. Pandit Raman Sharma from our ashram recited Sanskrit hymns and solemnized their marriage, and told them about its sacred sanctity under the Sanatan Dharam traditions.”

The host of the ceremony Vinod Sharma and his family performed various marriage rituals for the couple such as “kanyadan”. The locals became the “baraati” for their wedding and danced to the beat of folk songs. Sergei who is of Russian origin took Israeli citizenship before getting married.

The film stars Chris Evans — not Tim Allen, who was very chill about the whole not being Buzz Lightyear thing — as the “real” Buzz, or at least the voice of the character in Lightyear, which was presented as the old movie that Andy from the Toy Story franchise saw as a kid and fell in love with, prompting him to want that Buzz action figure we saw in those movies.

Lightyear got decent reviews from critics, but it failed to score at the box office, earning just $215 million worldwide against a reported budget of $200 million, making it the lowest-grossing film in the entire history of Pixar besides Onward, which came out just before the Covid pandemic began shutting down theaters.

Hindi film actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi passed away late last evening, 3rd August.

The actor reportedly breathed his last in Lucknow after suffering from a cardiac ailment. Reports on news portals claim that his demise comes shortly after he suffered a heart attack and shifted base to his hometown to recuperate.

Mithilesh's son-in-law Ashish Chaturvedi confirmed the sad news in a social media post. Sharing some of Mithilesh's happy pictures over the years, he penned a note that read, "You were the best father in the world. You didn't treat me like a son-in-law but loved me like a son. May god rest your soul."
