Flight:** Air India **AI2379. **Route:** Phuket (Thailand) → Delhi * The aircraft encountered **severe clear-air turbulence**, causing a **sudden drop of about 300 feet in altitude. Several passengers and crew members were injured after being thrown from their seats.

The aircraft landed safely in Delhi, and injured passengers received medical treatment. India's aviation authorities have started an investigation into the incident, and the flight's data recorder and cockpit voice recorder are being examined. This was a frightening incident, but **there was no crash and no fatalities reported.
