In the Vice-Presidential election of India held today, 9 September 2025, NDA candidate C. P. Radhakrishnan was elected with 452 votes; opposition candidate B. Sudarshan Reddy got 300 votes. The result was not as expected for the opposition camp, as they had predicted to get more than 320 votes. Fifteen votes were declared 'invalid', which were also cast by opposition MPs—a hint of cross-voting. (Source: The Indian Express)
