Article Title: Short Bowel Syndrome (Causes, Diagnosis, and Treatment)

Abstract: Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS) is a rare gastrointestinal disorder that significantly impairs nutrient absorption due to a reduction in the length or improper function of the intestine. This syndrome can result from extensive surgeries, congenital diseases, intestinal ischemia, or other factors affecting the structure and function of the bowel. Patients with this syndrome typically face issues such as chronic diarrhea, weight loss, malnutrition, and deficiencies in vitamins and minerals, which can reduce their quality of life.
Management and treatment of SBS require a multifaceted approach, including dietary modifications, the use of specific medications, and, in some cases, corrective surgeries. Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and the use of dietary supplements are among the key therapeutic methods that help compensate for nutritional deficiencies. Additionally, some medications, such as gastric acid inhibitors and intestinal growth hormones, can improve absorption function. In severe cases, intestinal transplantation is considered as the last treatment option.
Early diagnosis and appropriate management of this syndrome can significantly improve patient outcomes and reduce complications associated with malabsorption. With recent advances in medical and surgical treatments, the prospects for improvement and enhanced quality of life for patients with SBS have increased. However, further research is needed to find more effective treatment method.

Article Title: The Influence of Islamic Culinary Tradition in Greek Contemporary Cuisine

Abstract: Modern Greek culture has been greatly influenced by the culinary imprint of Islamic cuisines planted over centuries of interaction and shared history between Greeks and multiple Islamic peoples. In this study, utilizing a qualitative research method which included literature examination, questionnaires, and field observations, we demonstrate in detail how Islamic gastronomy has entwined itself within the practices of modern Greek cooking. The evidence is compelling, and shows the Islamic influence in a variety of aspects, from the use of specialized spices, spices, and cooking methods to crockery used to preserve certain dishes. Maybe most strikingly, the research traces how Islamic customs infused Greek communal dining customs and hospitality ideas. These of course provide some important insights for culinary researchers and educators who strive to construct more nuanced understanding of Greek culinary heritage.

Article Title: Analysing the Sleeping Behaviour and Psychometric Profile of Olympian Saikhom Mirabai Chanu: A Case Study

Abstract: The quantification of quality sleep among athletes plays a significant role in training and performance. Scaling the psychometric behaviour also contributes to administering various training practices and their effect on the athlete. The study attempts to measure the sleeping and psychometric behaviour of the Olympian Saikhom Mirabai Chanu during training (T) and competition (C) of the Paris Olympics 2024 through questionnaires like Athlete Sleep Behaviour Questionnaire (ASBQ) (ICC = 0.88; 95% CI: 0.87 to 0.89), Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS 21) (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.73 (95% CI: 0.63 to 0.80), and Eating Attitude Test (EAT-26) (ICC = 0.77 to 0.92; Cronbach’s alpha: 0.77 to 0.91). The global score for the ASBQ (T = 51, C = 54) is characterised as poor sleep behaviour, which was similar during the training and competition in the athlete. DASS 21 computed to normal range (Depression: T = 8, C = 2; Anxiety: T = 6, C = 0; Stress: T = 6, C = 10). EAT-26 (Dieting Scale: T = 14, C= 16; Bulimia and Food Preoccupation: T= 3, C = 6; Oral Control: T = 3, C = 3) showed no eating disorder risk for the Olympian Saikhom Mirabai Chanu. Overall, it can be concluded that the Olympian exhibit is of the utmost professional quality recommended by the findings.

Article Title: Strategic Planning and Transfer Pricing Regulations Implementation in Nigeria: The Mediating Role of Human Resource Capability

Abstract: The study examined the effect of strategic planning as an antecedence of transfer pricing regulations implementation. Also, it determined the mediating effect of human resource capability on the functional relationship between strategic planning and transfer pricing regulations in Nigeria’s Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). A validated questionnaire was employed to gather data from 612 staff members of the FIRS whose duties are performed in the international tax and other relevant departments. A partial least-squarestructural equation model was used to examine the three-way mediation hypotheses. The findings indicate that the specific indirect effect of human resource capability as it affects the functional relationship between strategic planning and transfer pricing regulations is statistically significant and suggests that a full mediating effect was achieved (ꞵ= 0.185, t = 2.421, p = 0.016). The study concluded that the effect of strategic planning on transfer pricing regulations implementation in Nigeria by the Federal Inland Revenue Service is explained by its human resources capability. The study contributes to recent empirical submission on the antecedence of transfer pricing regulations in Nigeria. Likewise, it offers the boundary conditions to explain how strategic planning influences successful implementation of transfer pricing regulations in Nigeria. The complementary role played by public interest theory of regulation and the dynamic capacity theory in serving as the theoretical underpinnings for this study is another contribution to knowledge. This study recommends that the management of Federal Inland Revenue Service should continue to enhance its commitment to efficient transfer pricing regulations implementation given the revenue needs of the federal government to drive economic and infrastructure development. This can be achieved through continuous strategic planning and systematically developing its human resource capability to understand the dynamism in transfer pricing regulations

Article Title: Legal Tech and the Future of Litigation: Transforming Justice through Innovation

Abstract: The legal profession is experiencing a fundamental transformation with the application of technology in the litigation process. Technology advancements like blockchain, cloud computing, and data analytics are revolutionizing the manner in which legal professionals handle case management, research, and the production of evidence. These innovations have transformed efficiency, accessibility, and transparency to a significant degree, rendering litigation more efficient. This paper addresses the growing role of technology in litigation and the value it adds in document management, submission to court, and live collaborative work. The use of blockchain technology enables protection of data and authenticating legal documents, while cloud platforms allow remote ease of access to case documents. Additionally, data-driven analytics are enabling legal professionals to make informed decisions, monitor trends in case law and automate litigation tactics. However with these advantages comes the consideration of how technology incorporation into litigation raises a plethora of legal and ethical concerns. This paper analyses the urgent concerns such as data privacy cybersecurity threats and the risks of overreliance on automated systems. It also addresses wider concerns of procedural fairness and the effect of technology on equal access to justice especially for those with limited digital means. For the growth of a responsible and equitable incorporation of technology into litigation, this paper calls for legal reforms and regulatory guidelines that ensure due process and fairness. It calls for the importance of judicial oversight ethical codes and clear guidelines to avert potential abuse and maximize the advantages of technological innovations. Through the acquisition of an equitable balance between innovation and legal protection, the justice system can utilize technology to enhance efficiency without undermining the integrity of the legal process.

Article Title: Effect of Sulphur and Sowing Date on Soil Fertility, Growth, and Yield of Rapeseeds (Brassica napus L.)

Abstract: Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) is one of the most important oil seed crops globally, contributing significantly to edible oil production and animal fodder. The present study, conducted during the rabi season of 2022-23 at the Institute of Agriculture Training & Research, Prem Nagar, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, aimed to assess the impact of different sulfur doses and sowing dates on soil fertility, growth, and yield of rapeseed. The research evaluated key agronomic parameters, including plant height, number of leaves, seed yield, and soil nutrient status. Findings revealed that Sulphur application positively influenced crop performance, enhancing biomass production and oil content. Similarly, the optimal sowing date ensured maximum yield by mitigating temperature stress and synchronizing the reproductive phase with favorable climatic conditions. The study underscores the significance of Sulphur nutrition and appropriate sowing schedules in improving rapeseed productivity, thus contributing to sustainable agricultural practices.
