From Upper Subansiri to Seoul South Korea, Designer Yajir Mara Showcases Arunachal Pradesh’s Textile Legacy at 21st CELEBRATING INDIA in Seoul South Korea.
Representing India on an international platform, Designer Yajir Mara,brought immense pride to Arunachal Pradesh by showcasing the state’s rich handwoven textiles and traditional craftsmanship at the global cultural fashion event CELEBRATING INDIA held in 6&7 November Seoul, Republic Korea by North East Institute of Fashion Technology with the support of Embassy of India, Seoul, Republic of Korea, Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea and Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI) at Textile Center, Gangnam, Seoul. The Festival Director and CEO, NEIFT Shri Vikram Rai Medhi .
Her collection beautifully captured the soul of Arunachal Pradesh — weaving together tribal motifs, indigenous techniques, and sustainable fabrics with modern silhouettes, reflecting her brand’s philosophy, “Weaving Heritage into Modern Elegance.”
Adding grace and glamour to the runway, Our Reining Miss Arunachal, Taba Jumshi, walked as the showstopper, embodying the pride, strength, and elegance of the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
