Rekha Gupta Name Has Been Selected As BJP CM From Delhi

Rekha Gupta will be sworn-in Delhi CM tomorrow at Ramlila Maidan. She's 4th female CM of Delhi, previous CMs were Shiela Dixit, Sushma Swaraj, Atishi.
Rekha Gupta, who won the Shalimar Bagh seat in the Delhi Assembly elections on a BJP ticket, will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Her name was finalized after the meeting of the legislative party.
She will be another woman to become the Chief Minister of Delhi after Atishi Marlena. Looking at Rekha Gupta's journey, she is a law graduate (LLB) and has been active in politics since her college days. If the BJP decides to appoint a woman as the Chief Minister, her name was considered a strong contender.
Early Life
Rekha Gupta was born in 1974 in Nandgarh village, Julana Tehsil, Jind district, Haryana. In 1976, her father got a job as a manager at the State Bank of India, and the entire family moved to Delhi. She completed her education in Delhi and stepped into student politics by joining the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
Political Journey
Rekha Gupta's political career has been strong and influential. She has held several important positions in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She has also served as the National Vice President of the BJP Mahila Morcha and was the BJP’s mayoral candidate in the previous municipal elections.
Her political journey began at Delhi University, where she held the positions of General Secretary and President of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU). She then played an active role in the BJP, rising to senior positions within the party and establishing herself as an experienced leader.
Although her family members still work as commission agents at the Julana grain market in Haryana, she has maintained a connection with her village and frequently visits her ancestral place.
According to her uncle, Ramesh Jindal, their ancestral home in Nandgarh was sold but later rebuilt. Her grandfather, Mani Ram Jindal, used to run a wholesale business in the village, but later, the family relocated to Delhi.
