The origin of the Kumbh is very old and dates back to the time when Kalasha (pot of nectar of immortality) was recovered from Samudramanthan (during the churning of the primordial sea), for which a tense war between Devtas (Gods) and Asuras (Demons) ensued.
The four Devtas ran away with the Amrita Kalasha to hide it from the Asuras.Asuras turned ferocious and chased the Devtas. Devtas and Asuras went round the earth and during this chase, Devtas put Amrita Kalasha at Haridwar, Prayag, Ujjain and Nasik.The fight for the Kumbh i.e. the sacred pitcher between the Gods and demons continued for 12 divine days, which is considered to be as long as 12 years for humans. That is why the Kumbh Mela is celebrated once in 12 years. At every Kumbh occasion, millions of Hindus, Saints, priests, and yogis from all corners of India, gathered to participate in Kumbh. The Naga Sadhus are one such, who never wear any cloth and are smeared in ash. It is believed that bathing during Kumbh cures the bather of all sins and evils and grants the bather, salvation.
Kumbh 2021 was celebrated at Haridwar, Uttarakhand India with Covid-19 protocols. Winterline Production handled social media campaigns to raise awareness and to encourage Kumbh attendees to follow Covid protocols like to wear Wask, maintain social distancing, to wash hands frequently, and others.
कुंभ मेले की कहानी समुद्र मंथन से जुड़ी है। कहते हैं कि एकबार महर्षि दुर्वासा के श्राप के कारण जब इंद्र और देवता कमजोर पड़ गए, तब राक्षसों ने देवताओं पर आक्रमण कर उन्हें परास्त कर दिया था।। तब भगवान विष्णु ने देवताओं को दैत्यों के साथ मिलकर क्षीर सागर का मंथन करके अमृत निकालने की सलाह दी। अमृत कलश पर अधिकार जमाने के लिए देव और दानव में 12 दिन तक भयंकर युद्ध होता रहा। देवताओं के बारह दिन मनुष्यों के बारह वर्ष के तुल्य होते हैं। इसलिए कुम्भ हर 12 वर्षों के बाद मनाया जाता है |
मंथन में निकले अमृत का कलश हरिद्वार, इलाहबाद, उज्जैन और नासिक के स्थानों पर गिरा , यही कारण है कि कुंभ के मेले को इन्हीं चार स्थानों पर मनाया जाता है।
प्रत्येक कुंभ अवसर पर, भारत के कोने-कोने से लाखों हिंदू, संत, पुजारी और योगी कुंभ में भाग लेने के लिए एकत्र होते हैं। नागा साधु भी उनमे से एक हैं , जो कभी कपड़े नहीं पहनते और राख में लिपटे रहते हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि कुंभ के दौरान स्नान करने वाले को सभी पाप और बुराइयों से मुक्ति मिलती है और स्नान करने वाले को मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है।
कुंभ 2021 हरिद्वार, उत्तराखंड भारत में आयोजित हुआ | जिसे कोविड -19 प्रोटोकॉल के साथ मनाया गया। और विंटरलाइन प्रोडक्शन ने कोरोना वायरस से बचाव हेतु जागरूकता बढ़ाने और कुंभ में उपस्थित लोगों को मास्क पहनने, सामाजिक दूरी बनाएं रखने, बार-बार हाथ धोने और अन्य कोविड प्रोटोकॉल का पालन करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए सोशल मीडिया अभियान संचालित किया ।
