“Incredible India, but at what cost?”
While we celebrate our achievements in space, technology, and infrastructure, millions in our own country sleep hungry every night. India is home to over 190 million undernourished people — that’s nearly one-fourth of the world’s hungry population. Behind every smiling child in a privileged home is another child begging for a piece of bread on the street.
Poverty and hunger are not just statistics; they are daily realities for countless families.
Children drop out of school to work. Mothers skip meals so their children can eat. Elderly parents beg on roads because they have no support. The worst part? We walk past them every day, pretending not to see.
It’s not just the government’s responsibility — it’s ours too.
A little empathy, a shared meal, a small donation, or even raising your voice can make a big difference. Hunger doesn’t wait. Poverty doesn’t pause. It’s time we stop ignoring it.
Let’s build a nation where no one has to choose between food and survival.
