Shocking Mid-Day Meal Blunder in Bihar

At least 34 students in Nalanda's Parasi Middle School were reportedly hospitalized after detergent powder was allegedly mistaken for salt and served with the school's mid-day meal.

Students complained that the soybean curry was bland and asked for extra salt. According to reports, detergent powder was mistakenly handed over, which some children mixed into their food. Soon after eating, several students experienced stomach pain, nausea and vomiting.

The affected children were rushed to Model Hospital, Bihar Sharif, where they received medical treatment. Officials said the children were stable, while authorities have launched an investigation into the serious lapse.
