π¨ Phone Stolen at New Delhi Railway Station β Who is Responsible?
My name is Vivek Gupta. On June 10, 2025, I was on my way to Vaishno Devi when my iPhone 15 Plus was stolen at New Delhi Railway Station.
I went to Paharganj Police Station on Tuesday to file a report. Unfortunately, the police's response was very negative and careless. They simply noted down a complaint and told me to WhatsApp my details to 8920005836. I did exactly that, but I received no response.
Later, when I returned to the station, I witnessed another manβs phone being stolen right before me while he was asleep on the platform. Thieves were roaming openly in the station area β and shockingly, so were the police.
π The police post is right nearby.
π The same thieves are there every day β how do the police not recognize them?
π± Phones are being stolen daily, right in front of people.
I saw this happening with my own eyes. The thieves are fearless, walking around without worry, and the police seem to ignore it. If the police are present but no action is taken, who is responsible? How can so many thefts happen daily at such a major railway station?
I ask the public and the authorities:
Where is the law enforcement?
Why is there no proper investigation?
How long will innocent people keep losing their belongings?
This is not just my story. It is the story of hundreds who pass through New Delhi Railway Station every day. We need accountability, not silence.
