Power can ignore voices. It cannot silence them forever.

The resignation of an Education Minister is more than a political development - it is a reminder that in a democracy, accountability ultimately belongs to the people.

When students, teachers, parents and citizens raise their voices, institutions are compelled to listen. Change may be slow, but collective action has always shaped history.

This isn’t about celebrating an individual stepping down. It’s about recognising the strength of democratic participation and the belief that every voice matters.

Power may be temporary. The people are permanent.

A video circulating online has sparked criticism after a Swiggy delivery partner alleged that he was stopped while delivering food meant for protesters. According to the account shared in the video, a police officer checked the order and allegedly took the food instead of allowing the delivery to be completed.

If the allegation is accurate, it raises serious questions about the treatment of essential supplies during public demonstrations and the conduct expected of law enforcement personnel. At the same time, the claims in the video have not been independently verified, and an official response from Delhi Police is awaited.

Incidents like these deserve a fair and transparent inquiry. Public trust is strengthened not by assumptions, but by accountability and a clear establishment of the facts.

A man claiming to be an eyewitness to the recent protest at Jantar Mantar has made serious allegations regarding the police crackdown, stating that he saw individuals carrying wooden batons fitted with nails, which he claims were used during the operation.

Speaking on camera, he said his brother, identified as Sohan Chaupal, was deployed on duty that day and was carrying a standard white fibre police lathi. He maintained that his brother did not use any spiked baton. The eyewitness further alleged that the individuals carrying the nail-fitted batons were not dressed in standard police uniforms and demonstrated how the alleged weapons could be concealed and cause severe injuries.

⚠️ Disclaimer: TheUnafraids has not independently verified these claims. As of now, there has been no official confirmation or response from the authorities regarding the alleged use of nail-fitted batons. Given the seriousness of the allegations, an impartial investigation and a transparent official clarification are essential to establish the facts.

When students raise questions, should the answer be Laathi charge & tear gas?

What began as a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar ended in scenes of lathi charges, tear gas, injuries, and detentions as police clashed with demonstrators during the CJP’s “Sansad Chalo” march. Videos from the ground have triggered widespread concern over the use of force against protesters.

In a democracy, the right to peaceful protest is not a privilege, it is a constitutional freedom. At the same time, maintaining public order is a responsibility of the police. When these two principles collide, transparency, accountability, and restraint become essential.

Whether you agree with the protest or not, violence should never become the language through which citizens and the State engage with one another. A democracy grows stronger when voices are heard - not silenced. 🇮🇳

In Madhepura district, a disturbing crime has been reported from the village of Bhairavpatti. A married Muslim woman, Hina Parveen, was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered. The accused, identified in local reports as Kundan Kumar (also known as Kundan Yadav) and Chandan Kumar (also known as Chandan Yadav), are said to be absconding.

Hina Parveen was the mother of six young children. Her husband had passed away around two years ago, and she was supporting her family through daily wage work. Her death has left her children without parental care and in an extremely vulnerable situation.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations, there has reportedly been no significant action so far, and the case has received little attention beyond the local level. The lack of visibility and accountability has raised serious concerns, with many questioning the silence surrounding the case and the delay in delivering justice.
