Mothers are trapped today, motherhood is being seen as a pressure… why?
Because modern life handed women an impossible trap: balance a full-time corporate hustle, handle a home, manage an isolated household, and then feel guilty for feeling exhausted.
We were sold a definition of “liberation” that forced us to act like men in a system that penalizes female biology.
Somewhere along the line, the world stripped away the sacredness of creation and replaced it with endless pressure, loneliness, and career anxiety.
It wasn’t supposed to be a solitary struggle.
In Sanatan Dharma, motherhood was never meant to be an isolated burden.
Our roots built an entire ecosystem around the mother.
From the 42 days of mandated Ayurvedic recovery (Sutika Paricharya) where a woman was forbidden from chores,
to dedicated family and community members who bathed, oiled, and braided her hair while taking over domestic life.
Raising life was treated as a collective, sacred duty (Yajna), and the mother was honored as the ultimate sovereign (Matri Shakti).
Today, we are expected to do it all alone in silent apartments, begging corporate structures for basic empathy.
It’s time to stop blaming ourselves for feeling burnt out. Motherhood didn’t fail us, modern isolation did. Reclaim your peace,
lean into community, and remember that in our culture, you were never meant to carry the world by yourself.
You are the first Guru, the foundation of civilization, and your well-being matters just as much as the life you nurture. 🚩sadly, we as society have forgo all our ancient roots and support system and burdens to raise the child is not on a village but on mothers alone , resulting in post party, depression and other mental health issues apart from physical health issues.
