|SARVAPRIYA VIHAR RESIDENCE|

BRIEF OF PROJECT:
This spacious modern style residence is designed with a lot character with carefully organized zones and thoughtful compositions. All the Bedrooms and Common areas are on the Ground Floor. There is also a Terrace Garden with a Bar Lounge which also acts as a Library.

The client had a strong eye for striking combinations as well as love for textures and color set against more muted wall tones and decent marble floors.
However, it is the careful placement of the Sofas, Armchairs and Tables that gives these zone identity and purpose.
The Living Room arrangement allows for greater flexibility by introducing a Dining as well with Chairs and a Bench so that it can accommodate as many people when needed.

The Informal Lounge is a bright a colorful area, getting ample daylight with Hand painted Artworks acting as the main Focus Wall. Statement Lighting in the corner adds Drama to the Space, thus making it the most Usable Space of the House. The walls of the corridor leading to all the bedrooms have a rustic muted texture running so as to provide an earthy feel.

Brief -
Architecture that is designed to touch the Soul. This 2800sqft house creates an environment that helps one to open up into the stillness within, thus helping the user to experience a truer beauty, function, and meaning to the space. Aham stands beautifully in the middle of lush greenery and mesmerizing natural beauty of Kerala, grabbing one's attention from very far itself with its traditional sloped roofing at different heights. The brief aims to revert to a grounded lifestyle setup through a design that captures the essence of being connected to one’s roots and values.

The conceptual start was to place the central courtyard as the ‘soul’ of the house which ties the rest of the house. The informal living, dining and kitchen spaces, all aligned in a row, in an open plan, thus these active cores of the house remain connected to each other and open itself to the courtyard all the time. This project is choreographed to create an open, free-flowing movement within the elements of walls and floors around the alluring central courtyard.

The interior is kept minimal with just adding the warm tone of the teak wood. Every element is customized to synchronize, creating a house that is wholly perceived as an artifact, eliminating the need for apparent décor and disconnected furniture.

Aham showcases its unique statement of traditional architecture style in the rural context of Kerala with a touch of modernity evoking the feel of newness and rawness.

The Formal Lounge of this Model Town Residence reflects a blend of subtle and bold elements with muted and bright hues.
Idea was to have a Sophisticated Neutral Base that can be freshened with a pop of color in Artwork and Accent Furniture with flashes of Gold used throughout the space.
Every inch of this Lounge Space is imbued with meticulous detail- from Towering Book shelves (Bracket) dressing one wall with a Reading Chair in front, along with a huge abstract art adorning the L-Seater Couch, to a Wall mounted Media Console matching with the Wall Paneling done behind the Multiple Loungers.
Luxury Décor accents were strategically placed so as to achieve a perfect balance between the Space and the Furniture. Intricate Carpet pattern with mix of modern and Persian elements brings out a unique sense of aesthetics.
This particular lighting arrangement was used to create what resembles a celebratory firework display.

Brief of Project -

Washed in simple and minimalistic design is this 3 Bedroom apartment at Koorkenchery ,Thrissur. When Mr & Mrs Rajesh approached us for designing of their space , their brief was to keep their home light & airy. Both their daughters also had their design styles down to the dot for their respective spaces.

We have created a very open plan with major demolition only to bring in ventilation to the common spaces such as the living, Dining & Kitchen. Our plan was to keep our canvas white and add accent designs to the space. White, grey & black remain an unbeatable combination and this house proves just that.

The three bedrooms, flaunt different designs in tune with the likes of the occupants. If the Elder daughter’s Room speaks in earthy tones and straight lines , the younger ones screams pink & cute . Whereas Master bedroom oozes of warmth & coziness.

Our client being a plant Lover added ten folds to the beauty of this space.Outdoor balcony space will be every chai Lovers& readers spot during the Monsoon Showers.

Be it about his aging but energetic & loving mother Bharathi Amma or about paddy & coconut farming or simply about taking dip in a natural pond...

Palancheeri is just that -
