Mohanlal’s upcoming film, ‘L2: Empuraan’, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is setting unprecedented records ahead of its March 27 release. The film has achieved the highest hourly pre-sales in Indian cinema history, with 96,140 tickets sold per hour on BookMyShow, surpassing previous records held by films like ‘Leo’ and ‘Pushpa 2’.

In the overseas market, ‘L2: Empuraan’ has secured its distribution rights for a remarkable ₹30 crore, surpassing the previous record held by Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘King of Kotha’. Additionally, advance bookings have already crossed ₹12 crore globally, setting a new benchmark for Malayalam cinema.

Samay Raina decided to cancel his upcoming shows and reschedule his India tour because of the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent and some comments made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps. This situation has clearly affected Samay, leading him to cancel performances in cities like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, even though tickets were sold out. He assured his fans on Instagram that all ticket holders would get refunds and promised to return for the rescheduled shows.

The controversy got worse when BeerBiceps made an inappropriate remark on the show, which sparked widespread backlash. Though BeerBiceps apologized, the situation resulted in several FIRs and significant media attention. Samay removed all episodes of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel and released a statement explaining the emotional toll it had taken on him. He emphasized that his only goal was to make people laugh and that he was fully cooperating with the authorities looking into the matter.

By canceling the shows, Samay seems to be distancing himself from the controversy and focusing on protecting his career during this difficult time.

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal's divorce from Dhanashree Verma has been officially finalized. The court granted the decree of divorce after accepting a joint petition from both parties. The couple, who had been living separately for over two and a half years, is no longer considered husband and wife.

The Bombay High Court had previously waived the mandatory cooling-off period for mutual consent divorce proceedings, allowing the court to finalize the petition quickly. Chahal's participation in the IPL, where he was acquired by Punjab Kings for ₹18 crore, was also considered during this process.

Chahal and Dhanashree had married in December 2020 after getting engaged that same year. Dhanashree is a well-known dancer, and Chahal has been in the public eye recently, spotted at events like the Champions Trophy Final.
