Somedays I wonder what they will remember.
Will they remember the look on my face when I held them for the first time?
Will they remember the sound of my voice as I whispered the words I always longed to say?
Will they remember how I held them when they needed me? And when I needed them?
Will they remember how hard it was to let go?
Will they know how my life changed the day I became their mother?
Will they know how hard I tried?
Will they know that there is nothing I wanted more than to 'get it all right'?
Will they know how hard it was to accept that no one does?
Will they look back and remember these moments?
Will they know that I was growing alongside them too?
Will they remember the laughter, the love, the beauty which I learnt to find in the imperfections?
Will they look in the mirror and love themselves as I do?
