Go green, plastic is obscene!
Team Umeed-SVC launched a cloth bag distribution drive in the slums and market areas of Satya.

We distributed the bags to people in the slums and market areas stitched by our volunteers. We also made people understand the harmful effects of plastic and asked them to switch to these cloth bags.

A big thanks to all the volunteers for making this drive a success. Also, we would like to thank Umeed for providing us with these amazing opportunities.

With an aim to understand the population awareness in India, Team Umeed-SVC conducted a survey on 'Population Control'. A questionnaire was prepared in order to understand views of people and their level of awareness was checked too. During the survey, opinions of 150 people were taken into account. The members approached the street vendors as well as took part in door to door survey and had a personal interaction with them. It was found that everyone was pretty aware about the need to control population. Most of them suggested to opt for one child policy as this would help in controlling the population.

This survey proved to be an effective way to look into the progress of awareness that we have made so far.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Umeed-SVC, on the occassion of International Literacy Day, planned a stationery drive, wherein essential stationery was distributed to the underprivileged children at Indraprastha slum. This effort is in line with the organization's core value of giving hope and it is firmly believed by all associated with Umeed-SVC that such efforts go a long way in promoting literacy. Over 40 children received around 100 notebooks, 50 crayon packets and other items.The exuberance that the faces of these children radiated when they received the stationery was a true delight to watch. Umeed provided a platform to make an actual difference in the real world.
Appreciation is extended to all volunteers who made the event a success!
We at Umeed-SVC will continue to give the drop of hope to the ones in despair!

"Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world."
Planting a tree is equivalent to planting hope.
We, Team Umeed-SVC launched a plantation drive and contributed our efforts to make Earth a better place to live in. We strive and will always strive to bring a change and fulfill our responsibility towards nature. Around 35 samplings were planted by the team.

We also launched a signature campaign to save mother Earth.

We would like to thank Umeed for providing us a platform helping us to conduct these amazing drives and fulfill our social responsibility.

We would also like to thank all the volunteers who were so dedicated for the drive.
