Guidelines for Unlock 5.0 were issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India today.
India's COVID-19 tally crossed the 62-lakh mark with 80,472 new coronavirus cases and 1,179 deaths reported on Wednesday, according to Health Ministry data. For the first time in 28 days, coronavirus deaths over the one-day period have fallen below 1,000.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has announced new guidelines for Unlock 4.0 effective from September 1st 2020.
States cannot impose local lockdown restrictions outside containment zones and Metro rail services will resume from September 7 in a graded manner, announced the Centre easing Covid-19 restrictions and opening up further activities in this phase of unlocking.

However, caution must be taken by the general public to follow all safety, hygiene and social distancing norms as India has reported an average of 69,558 new Covid-19 every day over the past week.

Masks save lives. Researchers have found that death rates due to increased by 43% in countries where people are not wearing masks, but just 2.8% in countries where mask-wearing is prevalent.

Announcing ‘Unlock 3’ guidelines, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has announced a series of relaxations on lockdown rules including removing restrictions on the movement of individuals during night.
There shall be no restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons and goods. No separate permission, approval or e-permit will be required for such movements. However, strict enforcement of lockdown in containment zones has been extended till August 31.
Guidelines are effective from 01.08.2020 to 31.08.2020
