A 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Chalia Chapori area of Assam's Biswanath district. The accused have been identified as Jiyabur Islam, Ashikul Ali, Jamil Haque, Saiful Hussain and Jamur Uddin. According to the victim's family, the minor was lured from her home and taken away in a vehicle where the crime was allegedly committed. The family claimed that the girl was later left in the courtyard of her residence. Following a complaint lodged at Biswanath Chariali Police Station, police arrested all five accused. The family also alleged that the victim was drugged and sexually assaulted on multiple occasions, while her mother was assaulted when she pleaded with the accused. Investigation into the case is underway.
