🚀 A Historic Step Towards “Next-Generation GST Reforms”! 🇮🇳
The International Society for Small and Medium Enterprises (ISSME) extends its heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman for the landmark GST reforms announced during the 56th GST Council Meeting (3rd Sept 2025).
We are proud that several of ISSME’s key recommendations from our Comprehensive GST Reform Proposal have been accepted and incorporated, including:
✅ Simplified GST slabs → Two-tier structure: 5% & 18% + 40% de-merit rate
✅ Lower GST on essentials & FMCG → Relief for millions of households
✅ Healthcare boost → 33 lifesaving drugs zero-rated, others down to 5%
✅ Agriculture support → GST on farm machinery cut to 5%
✅ Mobility affordability → Two-wheelers ≤350cc now at 18%
