Hearing this, Heer revealed her own feelings; she confessed her immense love for Nawab and proposed marriage right in front of the family. Witnessing Heer's courage left Gulab furious.
But the path of love is rarely easy. In a fit of madness, Simran attacked Heer with a knife. Nawab intervened and was injured while saving Heer. Undeterred, Simran lunged at Nawab again, but this time, both Heer and Gulab overpowered her. Gulab scolded Simran, warning her to desist or else rot in jail. However, Simran remained stubborn; she threatened to leak the certificate of her marriage to Nawab—which had taken place when he was a minor. Nawab then realized this was the reason his previous marriage had fallen apart. He took a photo and declared that he trusted only Heer and that nothing could tear them apart.
Gulab taunted Heer, accusing her of ruining Nawab's career out of selfish love. Heer retorted that it was now up to Gulab to save Nawab, as no mother could bear to see her son's life ruined. Eventually, Ranjeet was arrested, and Nawab and Heer got married. Yet, the real bombshell was yet to drop: Gulab flatly refused to accept the marriage. Will Heer and Nawab manage to win Gulab over, or will she conspire to drive Heer out of Nawab's life?
