Concern Over Donations Made for Kalo Rinpoche’s Event
Many Bhutanese living in Australia reportedly contributed donations to support an event involving Kalo Rinpoche that was organized by a Bhutanese couple.
Following Rinpoche’s reported confession that the donated funds were not used for the exact community purpose that donors had agreed to support, those who contributed have every right to ask questions and seek transparency.
Donors should consider coming forward collectively to request a clear account of how the funds were collected and used. If there are genuine concerns about misuse or misrepresentation, the relevant authorities in Bhutan should also look into the matter and establish the facts fairly and transparently.
This is not about blaming anyone without evidence. It is about accountability, transparency, and protecting the trust of people who donated in good faith.
