HOME:
I’ve spent over 40 years in Delhi, yet somehow, I have never truly felt at home there.
But every time I return to Patna, something within me quietly says, “You’re home.”
It’s strange, because I haven’t even spent two thousand days in all in Patna or Ara. I was away in hostels from Class 2, returning only for summer and winter vacations. I never celebrated Diwali, Holi, Dussehra or Rakhi here.
And yet, Patna has always felt like home.
Do you know why?
Because this is where my childhood lives.
And perhaps, home is not where you spend the most years.
Home is where your earliest memories still wait for you.
