भूपिंदर की गायकी को याद करते हुए...
उनके स्मृति दिवस पर

दिल ढूंढता है फिर वही... : याद-ए-भूपिंदर.....................................
‘मिसरा ग़ालिब का है, क़ैफ़ियत हरेक की अपनी अपनी....’ गुलज़ार की पुरकशिश आवाज़ में.. 90 के दशक के शुरुआती सालों में आए उनके अलबम ‘दिल ढूंढता है’ की शुरुआत में फिल्म ‘मौसम’ के इस यादगार गीत के ठीक पहले, यही ‘कैफ़ियत’ सुनाई देती है और फिर भूपिंदर सिंह की गूंजती हुई वो आवाज़... जो जितना पहाड़ों में गूंजती लगती है, उतना ही दिल के भीतर की तहों में उतरती जाती है।
तो गालिब के मिसरे की कैफ़ियत के तौर पर लिखी गुलज़ार की लाइनें जब मदन मोहन के संगीत में लिपटकर आती हैं... तो भूपिंदर की आवाज़ उसके वजूद में छिपी कसक को एक अलग ही मुकाम पर पहुंचा देती है। और ये ऐसा कोई इकलौता गाना नहीं... हिंदी फिल्म संगीत में कुछ ऐसे नग्मे हैं, जिन्हे भूपिंदर सिंह की आवाज़ ने एक अलग वजूद, अलग मुकाम और अलग पहचान देकर बेहद खास दर्जा दिला दिया। ‘एक अकेला इस शहर में’, ‘हुजूर इस तरह भी ना इतरा के चलिए’, ‘करोगे याद तो हर बात याद आएगी’,’ बीती न बिताई रैना’, ‘मेरी आवाज़ ही पहचान है', 'कभी किसी को मुकम्मल जहां नहीं मिलता', 'किसी नज़र को तेरा इंतज़ार आज भी है..'।
कम ही लोगों को पता होगा कि अमृतसर में पिता से संगीत की शिक्षा पाए भूपिंदर एक बेहतरीन गिटारिस्ट भी थे। दरअसल संगीतकार मदन मोहन ने उन्हे गिटार बजाते हुए ही पहली बार देखा था, जब मुंबई बुलाया और फिर ‘हकीकत’ (1964) के गाने ‘होके मजबूर मुझे उसने भुलाया होगा’ में रफी, मन्ना डे और तलत महमूद के साथ गाने का मौका दिया था। ‘मौसम’ का अमर संगीत भी मदन मोहन का ही रचा था। पंचम यानी आर डी बर्मन के साथ भी भूपिंदर की खूब बनी। उनके लिए भूपिंदर ने गाने भी गाए और कई फिल्मों में गिटार भी बजाया। फिल्म ‘शक्ति’ के गाने ‘जाने कैसे कब कहां इकरार हो गया’ की शुरुआत में जो गिटार का पीस है वो भूपिंदर ने ही बजाया है। दरअसल वो एक ऐसे कलाकार थे जो संगीत में रचे बसे थे। संगीत उनके लिए गाने-बजाने, सुनने-सुनाने की सीमाओं से परे था.... । आज उनको गुज़रे एक साल पूरा हो रहा है, लेकिन संगीत के एक दौर को उन्होने जो पहचान दी है, जिस तरह खास बनाया है, उसके लिए वो हमेशा याद किए जाएंगे।

'टॉक सिनेमा ऑन द फ़्लोर' का एक बेहद खास सेगमेंट है 'क्राफ़्ट एंड क्रू', जिसमें सिनेमा में ट्रेन्ड और अनुभवी पेशेवर और एकैडमिशियन महज़ आधे घंटे में फिल्ममेकिंग की बेहद बुनियादी ए बी सी डी को सरल तरीके से समझाते हैं... । वो खास गुर जो किसी भी तरह की फिल्ममेकिंग करते समय ध्यान में रखकर आप उसकी क्वालिटी और सिनेमैटिक वैल्यू को बढ़ा सकते हैं।
28 जून को हुए जून चैप्टर में डॉ. विकास सिंह ने स्क्रीनप्ले रचना, सबप्लॉट और शैली आधारित लेखन पर कुछ बेहद व्यावहारिक बातें बताईं। डॉ विकास सिंह एक सीनियर फिल्ममेकर और शिक्षक हैं और दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी से जुड़े हुए हैं। वो ली स्ट्रासबर्ग थिएटर एंड फिल्म इंस्टीट्यूट (न्यूयॉर्क) से प्रशिक्षित हैं और मुंबई में यशराज फिल्म्स समेत कई प्रमुख फिल्म प्रोडक्शन कंपनियों में काम कर चुके हैं। उन्होने अपने न्यूयॉर्क और मुंबई फिल्म इंडस्ट्री से जुड़े अनुभवों के आधार पर सिनेमा लेखन को एक नई दृष्टि से समझाया।

डॉ सिंह ने स्क्रीनप्ले की संरचना और जॉनर ट्रीटमेंट के लिए कुछ प्रमुख टिप्स दिए। उन्होने आधुनिक समय में फिल्ममेकिंग स्टोरीटेलिंग की बदलती स्टाइल के नज़रिए से भी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी दी। यह सत्र युवाओं और नवोदित फिल्मकारों के लिए विशेष रूप से उपयोगी रहा।
