The much awaited, OUTFIT DETAILS from my 2nd time attending the grand finale of !
The nitpicky queen in me, had a very resolute vision of what I wanted to dawn. The vision was so meticulous that I lost almost 7 days just to search my perfect attire! Just three days before the show, and after eons of doom-scrolling, I found Rehan bhai and his brand , perchance. Wallah, there was no looking back! Rehan bhai understood the assignment and customised this attire for me in just 72 hours!
During this course of time, I got to know a little bit about this young, talented, most demure but unthinkably ambitious artist. His brand name and his work maybe outlandish, but his life tale is what left this yapper girl, shut too. I actually had Rehman Bhai, share his own tale, for all of you to read :
“मेरा नाम Rehan Sheikh है! मैंने हमेशा हर काम में अपना best देने की कोशिश की है।10th में 84% और 12th में 94% marks आए...
लेकिन घर की financial problems की वजह से मुझे regular पढ़ाई छोड़नी पड़ी।मैंने हार नहीं मानी।Open schooling से पढ़ाई जारी रखी और boutique में job शुरू की।धीरे-धीरे fashion industry मेरा passion बन गई।दिन में दूसरों के लिए cutter master की job करता था... और रात में अपने सपनों के लिए काम।हर सुबह job पर जाते हुए एक ही बात सोचता था -‘मुझे अपना खुद का brand बनाना है।’दो महीने पहले मैंने job छोड़ दी...और अब मैं अपने dream पर full time काम कर रहा हूँ।आज मेरे पास बड़ी investment नहीं है, मेरी videos और shoots perfect नहीं हैं... लेकिन मेरा सपना बहुत बड़ा है।एक दिन पूरी दुनिया मुझे और मेरे brand को जानेगी। This is just the beginning!”
Yes, the allure, attention and ogles felt amazing for myself; but somewhere in my heart I knew, I was making Rehan Bhai very proud, and that somehow felt 10x more ethereal than the compliments I received for myself! This post is indeed an ode to Rehan Bhai and other homegrown artisans like him - who defy life’s odds to become winners and not whiners; who are the real reason for so many like us to feel like a Diva, when probably life being belligerently unfair to them, otherwise!
