He explains, we must examine our farming practices, our food chain and what we are truly getting from the food we consume. Over time, modern agriculture has embraced hybrid and genetically modified seeds, significantly increasing yield per plant. But the key question is: Has the root mass of these plants increased proportionally?

If yes, the nutritional density should remain the same. But if not, and if plants are being artificially supported through heavy use of chemical fertilizers via drip irrigation or soil application focusing mainly on NPK and in some cases micronutrients. we may be feeding plants for productivity, but compromising on nutrition.

Watch the full video to dive deeper into this thought-provoking discussion and discover how innovation can help restore nutritional balance in our food chain.

"Nature is always right, but not always efficient." – Dr. Ajay Ranka, Managing Director of Zydex Group, delivers a powerful message on the shifting nutritional landscape of our staple foods.

With the advent of hybridization of different seeds, the output per plant per unit biomass has increased significantly. But the real question Dr. Ranka raises is, Is the nutritional content in cereals and pulses in our food chain still the same?

He emphasizes the urgent need for a science-driven, sustainable approach to restore lost nutrition while maintaining productivity. It’s not just about growing more, it’s about growing better.

Watch the video to know more about this critical concern and the innovative path forward.

Over the last 50-60 years, farmers worldwide have adopted newer plant varieties, hybrid seeds, advanced grafting techniques, and practices focused on improving yield per plant. But at what cost? In this insightful video, Dr. Ajay Ranka, MD of Zydex Group, reveals a hidden downside: a significant loss in the nutritional value of our fruits and vegetables.

He highlights that while productivity has increased, the nutritional content of fruits and vegetables has declined globally by up to 40-42%. This drop is a direct result of prioritizing yield over nutrition, a shift that continues unchecked in modern agriculture.

What’s the solution? Dr. Ranka urges a rethinking of farming practices to balance productivity with nutrition, focusing on soil health, plant biology, and sustainable inputs.

To know more, watch the entire video and discover how we can restore the nutritional richness of our food.

With soil health deteriorating, groundwater levels depleting, and chemical dependence rising, our farmers are being pushed to the edge. Traditional methods are no longer sustainable, and the pressures of input costs and erratic weather only make things harder.

But change is here and it begins with just one crop cycle.

Project Farm Revival by Zydex is a groundbreaking initiative that empowers farmers to transition from chemical-intensive farming to a 100% bio-farming model. No chemical fertilizers. No synthetic inputs. Just nature’s science combined with modern bio-technology for a chemical fertigation-free future.

With just one crop cycle, farmers can transition to a more sustainable, profitable, and water-efficient model yielding healthier crops, better incomes, and long-term soil restoration.

The future of farming is here and it's green, clean, and thriving.

Why Organic Farming Struggles with Profitability — Dr. Ajay Ranka Explains

Despite growing awareness and demand, organic farming still covers less than 1% of global farmland. Why? In this eye-opening video, Dr. Ajay Ranka, MD of Zydex Group, breaks down the core challenges: decades of soil degradation from chemicals and mechanization, depleted soil carbon, and the collapse of microbial life.

He explains why simply switching from chemical to bio-nutrition doesn’t work without rebuilding soil biology—leading to yield drops, higher consumer costs, and poor profitability for farmers.

The way forward? Innovating sustainable, biology-driven solutions that make organic farming both productive and profitable.

𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 – Dr. Ajay Ranka, Managing Director of Zydex Group, presents a thought-provoking perspective on the challenges and future of natural farming in India.

Dr. Ajay Ranka, addresses a key challenge in natural farming—profitability. Farmers often struggle with reduced yields during the 5-year soil regeneration phase, as natural inputs can't match the quick impact of chemical fertilizers. To solve this, he proposes Technology-Assisted Natural Farming (TANF)—a science-backed approach that uses bio-nutrients and microbial action to boost efficiency and sustainability. With TANF, natural farming can become both environmentally friendly and economically viable.

Watch this insightful talk to understand why the future of agriculture may depend on making nature more efficient through innovation.
