India’s electric bus transition is making software security and control an increasingly important part of the mobility conversation.

Synaty Automotive’s LaVie+ 15-metre multi-axle sleeper bus has received ICAT’s first compliance certificate for a 15-metre multi-axle sleeper bus under AIS-119 and AIS-153.

Built on the Ashok Leyland Garud 15-metre chassis, the LaVie+ is offered in two configurations: 42-berth full sleeper and 21-berth + 42-seat hybrid sleeper.

The certification covers requirements related to structural integrity, vehicle safety, emergency and fire safety, passenger accommodation and travel comfort.

Synaty Automotive has secured AIS-153 certification from ICAT for its 8-metre to 11-metre midi-mini, 22 to 41-seater tourist bus range.

The company is the first bus body builder in North India to achieve AIS-153 certification for this segment.

Earlier this month, the company also secured AIS-153 certification for its 10-metre to 13.5-metre seater bus range with underfloor luggage space, further reinforcing its focus on regulatory compliance across multiple product segments.

Under the partnership:
✅ BlackBuck EV will manufacture and maintain 9m, 13.5m, and 15m electric buses.

SWITCH Mobility has secured an order for 650 electric buses from Sai Green Projects Pvt. Ltd. under the PM E-DRIVE scheme.

The order includes the supply of 9-metre electric buses under the CESL PM E-Drive Phase II tender, with Sai Green Projects Pvt. Ltd. serving as the selected operator.

The order covers both AC and non-AC buses and will be deployed for BEST in Mumbai and PMPML in Pune.
